European patent attorney Kelda Style will be attending the AIPLA 2022 Spring Meeting in the vibrant city of New Orleans, taking place between 17-19 May.
Founded in 1897, AIPLA is one of America’s most influential intellectual property law associations that supports IP professionals. Their annual Spring meeting in New Orleans will be an opportunity to explore a broad range of topics across the IP industry, including:
- issues in patent prosecution;
- patent practice;
- green technology inventions;
- cross-border issues in IP litigation;
- responsibility of attorneys to develop and maintain tech knowledge;
- diversity in IP law; and
- trending ethical issues.
There will also be the opportunity to hear from titan of the IP Bar, such as Rick Nydegger, AIPLA past president, Esther Kepplinger, a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and Tom Irving, a partner at Finnegan Henderson Farabow Garrett & Dunner. These leaders will share insights into their successful careers in IP.
The keynote speakers will be:
- Matt Sakakeeny, associate professor of music at Tulane University;
- Michael Hecht, presidential and CEO of Greater New Orleans Inc.; and
- Shire Perlmutter, register of copyrights director of US Copyright Office.
