New year, new partner… congratulations Andrew McKinlay

Page White Farrer is pleased to announce the promotion of European patent attorney Dr. Andrew McKinlay in our Leeds office from a senior associate to partner.
Andrew joined the firm in 2022, having worked in IP since 2013. As a specialist in computing and artificial intelligence, Andrew has focused his practice on patents for software IP, working across a wide range of computer-implemented technologies, including machine learning, IoT devices, 3D printing and scanning and medical applications.
In 2021, Andrew was recognised as a “Rising Star” by Managing IP and has spoken at many events for the tech community on obtaining patents and protecting intellectual property. He also took part in a podcast discussing the implications of intellectual property in the metaverse.
‘I am delighted to have been promoted to partner,’ says Andrew, ‘It is a great way to start the new year and cap off what was an excellent 2022. I look forward to continuing to deliver first-class IP advice to our clients.’
