On 8 November Patent Attorney Sam Judge is presenting on ‘Navigating a maze: AI and software in chemical patents.’
Sam will discuss the practicalities of claiming computer-implemented aspects of chemical inventions, with reference to two recent European Patent Office Board of Appeal decisions: T 0862/20 and T1618/19.
Sam is a European Patent Attorney and Chartered Patent Attorney. He has worked in the profession since 2012, following two years in the pharmaceutical industry. He worked as an analytical chemist in the field of physicochemical analysis, with a particular focus on the measurement of equilibrium constants. He will bring his invaluable expertise in prosecuting and defending chemical patents at the EPO to the session.
