The second edition of The Law of Artificial Intelligence is out

Service: Patents

Sectors: AI and data science

Page White Farrer Patent Attorneys Virginia Driver and Tom Woodhouse have contributed to the second edition of The Law of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Tom Woodhouse commented:

“I am honoured to have contributed to the second edition of Sweet & Maxwell’s The Law on Artificial Intelligence. This edition provides enhanced insights into the evolving relationship between AI and intellectual property law and regulations. The sector is developing at pace and legal frameworks must keep up with these innovations.”

The Law of Artificial Intelligence is an essential practitioner's reference guide reviewing the application of current regulation and civil and criminal laws to AI and emerging areas of AI-specific regulation and proposed law reforms. Reflecting the importance of patents in the AI landscape, the second edition has a chapter dedicated to patents, written by Tom and Virginia .

Following a highly successful first edition, the second edition is expanded to include consideration of "generative" AI and new chapters on Human Rights, Public Law, Employment Law, Financial Services and Autonomous Vehicles.

The second edition is available for purchase from publishers Sweet & Maxwell.
