Felix Daul

Felix joined us in 2024 with extensive experience in patent litigation and prosecution, as well as drafting in various technical fields. He completed master’s degrees in engineering and industrial engineering at the University of Magdeburg, Germany. Prior to starting his training as a patent attorney, Felix worked for eight years at an Indian consulting firm with clients from all over the world, which enriched his intercultural exchange as a patent attorney. Additionally, he led projects developing new methods for 3D printing at the Fraunhofer Institute IPA in Stuttgart.

 

His experience in litigation for a major SEP player helps him excel in opposition proceedings and patent drafting. Felix’s approach of developing patent portfolios for small and medium sized companies and generating revenues with these is based on his knowledge and experiences as a business consultant. Through continuous exchange in patent drafting and litigation with technical experts from his clients, Felix builds long-term relationships to achieve added value for them.

 

Felix has worked in various technical fields, particularly:

- Engineering and production technology for the automotive industry

- Tele- and wireless communication

- Software and sensor technology

- Medical imaging methods and image recognition, combined with AI

 

One of his focuses is assisting startup companies in establishing their intellectual property from day one, including both bootstrapped and VC-funded startups. His deep knowledge of EPO case law enables him to succeed in proceedings before the EPO and the Unified Patent Court, alongside his German litigation experience.
