Jean-Michel has worked in the intellectual property profession in Munich since 2004. His previous experience includes working a research engineer trainee in the field of high voltage and metal oxide surge arrester at Schneider Electric/Merlin Gérin, Grenoble; completing a Ph.D. and graduating with the highest honour; a contract researcher in the field of ageing of ZnO varistors under thermal and high voltage stresses at LGET-CNRS, Toulouse, in collaboration with EDF research center and SEDIVER; a teaching fellow at the University Paul Sabatier (Toulouse III); a process quality engineer in the field of car manufacturing at Matra Automobile, Romorantin-Lanthenay; and a quality manager Germany in the field of semiconductors at Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector, Munich.

Jean-Michel is a native French speaker, fluent in English and proficient in German with also a good knowledge of Dutch.
