Shameena joined Page White Farrer shortly after completing her PhD in high energy physics in 2021 at Imperial College London. For her masters dissertation, she developed autonomous decision-making machine learning software to locate special nuclear material for national security and radiation dosimetry. She further completed an intensive course in machine learning at the Yandex School of Data Analysis, with distinction, and has lectured at the Imperial College Business School in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, statistics and econometrics.
Shameena is a certified author at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN) where she specialises in data science and artificial intelligence such as machine learning pattern recognition. During her PhD, she conducted measurements of the Higgs boson particle properties, and detector upgrades of the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment for the Large Hadron Collider.
She further holds a masters degree, with distinction, in physics from Imperial College London: covering highly mathematical and conceptually complex topics such as quantum mechanics, quantum field theory, group theory, general relativity and cosmology. Shameena was awarded the Blackett Laboratory Prize in Physics for having ranked first.
She holds a first class degree in civil engineering from the University of Nottingham, where she was ranked first and received multiple academic awards. She is also author of the Compact Muon Solenoid Experiment, European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
At Page White Farrer, Shameena’s work in the software tech team focusses on areas such as data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, image processing, quantum computing, advanced software and blockchain applications, supporting both start-ups and multinationals.
